Dental Bonding

Dental Bonding is an alternative to veneers, and can be used as a restorative procedure for teeth that are chipped, cracked, discolored or misarranged.  Dental bonding can also be performed to eliminate gaps between teeth and to change the size or shape of teeth.

The procedure can usually be completed in a single office visit. After a tooth-coloured dental resin is chosen to match the patient’s natural tooth color, the material is applied to the teeth and smoothed into the desired shape by lightly etching the surface and applying a bonding liquid. An ultraviolet light is used to bond the material to the teeth. Once set, the resin is trimmed, smoothed and polished to a natural appearance.
